FAQs ABOUT DONATING BOOKS
What books do you accept?
We accept pretty much all kinds of books, so long as they are undamaged, unmarked, and in resalable condition. Contact us if you’re still unclear.
What do you do with my books?
We resell your books on websites like eBay to generate income to further our work. Reselling online saves the cost of running physical charity shops.
Can you take damaged books?
No. We can only accept books that are in good condition. If you send damaged books, we will have to dispose of them at cost to our charity.
Do I have to pay postage?
Yes you do. We can’t afford to cover the cost of your postage as we’re a tiny charity run entirely by volunteers.
Can you collect my books?
It depends. If you have a large number of books we can sometimes arrange free collection. Contact us to see if this is possible.
Can I send books to street kids?
No, we don’t do this as it is damaging to the children’s local economy. Plus, this is an expensive administrative and logistical cost to our charity.
