Volunteer Email Marketing Coordinator

Poverty Child
18th February 2019
Manchester, United Kingdom
Job Type

No child should have to experience the cruel realities of living on the street. It is this belief that has driven Poverty Child to tackle child poverty in the developing world since 2013, specifically in countries that have witnessed rapid expansion in urban slums, such as in the Philippines, Indonesia, and India.

Our vision is to realise a world where no child finds themselves in poverty or needs protection from it. It is the charity's goal to positively impact the lives of 1 million children over the next 10 years so that they are not tied to the life they were born into, but instead have the opportunity to create a better future for themselves. To help us achieve this goal we are in need of an Email Marketing Coordinator to join the team on a voluntary basis.

You will be responsible for...

  • Developing an email list building strategy
  • Ensuring all lists are properly segmented
  • Creating new email marketing campaigns
  • Implementing automated email flows
  • Crafting all email copy
  • Overseeing all email design including performing any basic design tasks yourself
  • Ensuring our email activity complies with our brand guidelines and GDPR

You are somebody who is sympathetic to the plight of children who live and work on the street, and want to give your time and skills to helping improve life for them. You may also be looking to develop a marketing communications career in the charity sector. As such we are happy to help you build your portfolio by providing support such as an employer reference, Linkedin skills endorsement and recommendation, and/or a case study profile on our website that can be linked to.

You are free to work remotely at a location convenient to you - all of our team works remotely from home or coffee shops. Plus, you choose the amount of hours you want to work every week, as well as the length of commitment to this role.

We provide you with any guidance you need to get started, and logistical support once you're up and running. We can also arrange for any training you may need, if relevant.

To apply for this role, please click the 'Visit Application Site' button, and complete the online application form making sure you've uploaded your CV. Explain in the application form why you are applying for the role, why you think you can deliver it well, and how you would go about doing so.

You can expect to hear from us within five working days if we have shortlisted you for interview. The interview will be via a video call, and will be your opportunity to build upon what you have already told us in your application.
