Your fundraising page should reflect your personality. Kit it out with a decent header and profile image, whilst including a gallery of images related to the cause or to your chosen fundraising activity. There’s a bunch of images in the resources section that you can choose from, or create your own if you want using a tool like Canva.
Personalise your fundraising page, ideally with your own words describing why empowering street and slum children to improve their lives is important to you. If words escape you, then feel free to use or adapt one of the following introductions:
- I’m appalled by the abuse and neglect that street and slum children face every day and I’m standing up to help Poverty Child do something about it. They want to provide these children with a place to play football, make friends, and get something healthy to eat. Stand with me, donate to my page. Just £10, will provide a place for one child to eat, play and learn every day for a month. £20 for two months, £30 for three, and so on. Give as much as you can. And please share this page with your friends.
- Sport is transformative when it touches poverty. Poverty Child is working with street and slum children, giving them the opportunity to play football and build healthy relationships that restore their trust in people. These are kids who would otherwise loiter within a lonely existence. Now they play, make friends and get something healthy to eat. I want to help Poverty Child reach more children. Stand with me by donating to my page. Just £10 will provide a place for one child to eat, play and learn every day for a month. £20 for two months, £30 for three months, and so on. Give whatever you can spare. Together we can help improve the lives of more children living in slums or on the street.
- Street and slum children face the worst kind of treatment at the hands of adults. Every day, these kids find themselves outside of normal society with nobody allowing them in. They face ignorance and sometimes even abuse. Poverty Child wants to change the situation for these children by improving their lives, and they’ve found football and food to have a transformative impact. I want to help them reach more children. Stand with me by donating to my page. Just £10 will provide a place for one child to eat, play and learn every day for a month. £20 for two months, £30 for three months, and so on. Give as much as you can. Let’s do this.
