It feels good to receive gratitude, especially when you’re not expecting it. Making your supporters feel appreciated is a sure-fire way to ensuring they receive the best experience possible. Plus, it’s just plain good manners.
You can use any number of ways to say thank you to your supporters, depending on how you structure your campaign. The following are some ideas for you to consider:
- Give shout-outs, as detailed earlier in the ‘Keeping the conversation going’ section.
- Send handwritten thank you cards or postcards to your supporters. You may choose only to send a card to donors who gave above a certain amount. Or, of course, you can send a card to everybody.
- Give gifts to your best donors. The gifts might be sponsored by a local company, or indeed handmade by yourself. The fact that you went to the effort to arrange a gift is what will matter to most people, rather than what it is.
